Arctic Monkeys' audience are likely to be predominantly white, middle class and reasonably young. Psychographic groups might include Reformers and Explorers. Recent global success pushed the band into bigger psychographic groups such as Mainstreamers.

This music video was designed to seem as if it was set in the 1980s which would allow fans to be able to deeply and personally connect with the video as it takes them back in time to a point of their lives when they were young and enjoying their childhood days.

Back in those days social media was only used for messaging each over and showing off your personality online however it then became a music sharing software.

BLACKPINK was put together by an entertainment company (yg entertainment) which controls what they're music is like and how it is presented so they don't have much freedom in what they post as it is mainly created to tick boxes and make money whereas Arctic Monkeys is 100% creative and natural all authentic.

4) Who is Arctic Monkeys record label and how many copies did they sell of their debut album? Why did they choose an independent record label?

Domino Record which is a small independent record label that allowed them to sell around 300,000 copies of their debut album.

5) Looking at the wider music industry, has the internet been a positive or negative development for record companies and artists? Why?

It has greatly benefitted consumers as they can now consume music from any device with internet access so it is harder to monitor by the bbfc.
